Well, a huge well done to all children and parents! Thank you for your hard work with costumes, practising words and the songs with the children, as well as coming to see their performances (they were BRILLIANT!!)
Such a busy month had throughout December, I hope the holidays are as relaxing as possible.

Maths

The children have been investigating into right angles. We explored the classroom and used right angle finders to identify all the different objects which had a right angle. The children really enjoyed this task and were using great thinking skills while working with others.

English
We have wrote our own instructions on How to look after a Bog Baby, they are displayed in Year 2 and all children have passed the test- They are now certified to look after a Bog Baby, should they find one. Great instructional writing using time connectives, adding detail and a good level of understanding within their sentence structure- Super work J

Phonics
We have hard on a number of phonics this month; ow, ur and recapping all previous sounds. The children have been able to use these in both their reading and writing with growing fluency.

Topic
Christmas decoration making, don’t these hats look great?
I hope you all noticed how much work had gone into the Christmas performance- We have all worked very hard to learn our words and the songs in preparation- I am very proud of every single one in Year 2!!!

I wish you all a very Merry Christmas, I hope you have a happy holiday and I look forward to seeing everyone in the New Year!

Next week we are looking at 'ur'.
